Free Summer Swimming for 14 - 16 year old non-swimmers
Congleton Leisure Centre
Training
17 Aug 2026 - 21 Aug 2026
Monday 17 August
For non-swimmers aged 14-16 in the Congleton area
Swimming is an essential skill and most young people are taught how to swim whilst at primary school. However, recent tragedies throughout the country have shown that some young people mainly aged from 14 – 16 may have missed vital swimming lessons.
During the Covid years, swimming lessons were not possible due to lockdown and in Congleton, 14-16 year-olds may have missed lessons due to the Covid lockdown.
The Rotary Club of Congleton has teamed up with the Congleton Leisure Centre to offer a free programme of swimming lessons for non-swimmers aged 14 – 16 during the school holidays.
Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the course of 5 one-hour lessons starts at Congleton Leisure Centre on Monday 17th August at 1pm and lasts all week at the same time every day until Friday.
Spaces are limited and interested parents and guardians are requested to book a place online using the following information. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come basis.
