Bill and Ben (The Marigold Men) are a Guitar and Saxophone duo who met whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2018 and quickly found a host of things that they have in common; Music that they listened to, where they grew up (neighbouring towns of Congleton and Holmes Chapel) and an interest in football outside of the premier league which all helped to develop a strong foundation for an interesting long term collaboration.

A project began to form after an RNCM big band gig in 2020, and they have been casually playing together ever since. Casual playing as well as regular lunchtime rehearsals at Holmes Chapel Comp where they both work has slowly developed into a full programme of (mostly) original music which we're very excited to share!

For anybody interested in Pat Metheny, Ben Wendel, Andy Sheppherd, Mammal Hands or Matthew Halsall then this would be a gig worth seeing. Expect an intimate and personal concert with a varied mixture of textures and styles.
