Residents are invited to gather at the Cenotaph on Lawton Street on Sunday, November 9, to honour those who have given their lives in service to our country.

A parade will make its way through the town, arriving at the monument shortly before 11am ahead of a two-minute silence and service.

Congleton Town Mayor, councillor Robert Brittain, said: "Every year the event seems to grow, and as Congleton continues to develop, it is vital that our strong sense of community spirit and tradition continues to flourish.

"It makes me extremely proud to see the show of support for Remembrance Sunday in Congleton.

"We are also delighted to welcome back 24 representatives from the Princess Irene Brigade, who are travelling from Holland to take part in the event."
