Let’s Lift the Curfew: Congleton Community Run & Walk | Congleton Harriers
Meet at Congleton Town Hall
Community Events
29 Oct 2026
Thursday 29 October
Join Congleton Harriers on Thursday 29th October for Let's Lift the Curfew, a community run and walk supporting This Girl Can's national campaign to make exercising outdoors safer and more accessible for women.
As the evenings get darker, many women feel they have to change their routines, avoid certain routes, or stop exercising outdoors altogether because they don't feel safe. Let's Lift the Curfew challenges this, bringing communities together to show solidarity and call for streets and public spaces where everyone feels safe to be active after dark.
We're inviting the whole Congleton community to get involved, whatever your gender, fitness level, or running experience. Choose from a 5k run, a 3k run, or a 2k walk. You don't need to be a Congleton Harriers member, and taking part is completely free.
