Learn Together - Parent and Child Crochet Workshop

Join Carole from Game of Throws 2011 and come along with your child and learn the art of crochet - ideal to spend time with your child or grandchild

You can both learn a new creative and mindful skill that you can enjoy forever.

Swop your screens for hooks and yarn and engage in a hands on activity that can make you feel happier , better able focus and is great for your mental health and well being.

Learn how to

• hold the yarn and hook comfortably and how to crochet the basic stitches.
• Chain stitch, double crochet half treble ,treble, slip stitch , changing colour and the difference between UK terms and US terms.

I would recommend for age 10 + but you know your child.

Of course there will be tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be available. A hook, stitch marker and yarn will be provided along with supporting written materials.

The word crochet means hook and to crochet entails the pulling of one loop of thread over another. Remember crochet cannot be done by a machine it can only be done by hand. Once you have mastered the basics then you will be amazed at what you can make!
