Congleton Town are just one game away from glory.

The Bears head to Staffordshire on Saturday (May 3) to take on Hednesford Town in the Northern Premier League West play-off final.

As the visiting side, Congleton have been given an allocation of 1,000 tickets, half of which sold within half an hour of going on sale.

"It all comes down to this, one last game, one last push to achieve our goal," said defender Shaun Brisley.

"Let's pack the away end out and get behind the lads and make some noise."

Carl Dickinson, who has previously played for the likes of Stoke City and Port Vale, added: "A fantastic achievement and atmosphere the other night.

"Your support carried us through and we're going to need the same and more to help give us the best chance on Saturday, let's hear that roar!"

Congleton's journey to the final wasn't an easy one, with the Bears having to dig deep to overcome Chasetown in the semis.

The visitors took the lead on the 86th minute but were only able to hold onto the lead for a short moment, with Dan Needham equalising for Congleton with just seconds left to play.

The Bears would then go on to take the lead in extra time through Max McCarthy.

However, things fell apart in the second half of extra time with Chasetown equalising on the 110th minute.

They were then awarded a penalty shortly after, but the effort was kept out by David Parton.

Speaking ahead of the final, goal scorer Needham said: "Here we go again, another special year and what a way to end it!

"Tuesday night you dragged us over the line, the support was incredible and we'll need the same again on Saturday.

"Let's make it another one to remember, up the Bears!"

Marco Fregapagne added: "One more game to go and we need the Bear more than ever.

"The roar on Tuesday had the Cleric shaking.

"Make sure to bring the noise Saturday."

Tickets for the final, priced at £11 for adults, are available here.
