Congleton Town home clash against Burscough postponed due to positive Covid-19 case for away side

Congleton Town's scheduled home game against Burscough has been cancelled due to the away side having a confirmed positive Covid-19 case.

A Burscough spokesperson posted on social media: "Currently we have one squad member confirmed and hopefully this will prove not to be an outbreak."

The Bears are next in action on Tuesday night when they host Hanley Town.

The Bears' reserve side are in action today (Saturday), they welcome Taxons Football Club to the Cheshire Silk 106.9 Stadium in the Crewe DFA Cup first round.

Kick off is 2pm and admission is £2. Refreshments will be available for fans and a social distancing policy will be in operation.
