With the South and Mid Cheshire Tennis League not taking place this summer due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Congleton LTC staged an internal summer doubles competition to fill the gap for its members.

Replicating the successful winter doubles ladders, players took to the court from July to September in box leagues with promotion and relegation each month.

At the end of the three months of competition, James Wetton and Andrew Giltrap emerged as the overall winners and received the EPG Accountants Shield together with the men's prizes of meal vouchers courtesy of The Olde Kings Arms.

Mike Massey and Beth Hitchen were the mixed winners and won vouchers courtesy of Cheeky Chicken.

The leading ladies pair were Jackie Simpson and Jane Cummings who won Tropic vouchers.

Thanks went to all the competitors and the sponsors as attention now turns to the Winter Doubles Leagues.
