Congleton Lawn Tennis Club members were grinning from ear to ear just like the famous character in Alice in Wonderland , when Tina Bena from the Cheshire cat Distillery visited the club to launch their sponsorship of the club's ladies singles championship for 2021

The winner of the prestigious tournament will take away not only the historic silver cup but also a large bottle of the sponsors Queen of Hearts Pink Gin

Tina also brought along some smaller bottles of gin to be used as other prizes in the event - their sponsorship is really appreciated

The club are also looking to work in partnership with Tina to stage a gin tasting event in the near future at the clubhouse - this will be open to all , not just club members so please watch this space for further details
