75 Years of the NHS

75 years of the NHS will be celebrated at the Old Saw Mill in Congleton this week. 

These celebrations will take place at 7pm in Congleton this Friday, 10 November, as the Congleton Writers Forum gets ready to host a reading to celebrate the NHS.

The event will include a colourful mix of poetry, prose and fact and will take place at The Old Saw Mill.

Tickets cost £8, and residents can call the Old Saw Mill on 01260 277658 to book.

Remembrance Sunday

On Sunday 12 November at 10.30am, a Remembrance parade will take place to remember those lost in World War I.

The parade will commence at 10:30am from West Street Car Park, Congleton Cenotaph, Lawton Street.

Nativity! The Musical

Congleton Amateur Youth Theatre presents their production of Nativity! The Musical, showing at Daneside Theatre, Park Road, Congleton from Sunday 12 to Saturday 18 November 2023; with afternoon matinee and evening performances. 

The cast is drawn from the young people of the NODA award-winning Congleton Amateur Youth Theatre, aged 9 – 19. Nativity! The Musical. 

Feel good, funny and full of yuletide joy, Nativity! The Musical features all of the favourite sing-along hits from the films including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth, One Night One Moment, She's the Brightest Star and a whole host of new songs filled with the spirit of Christmas! This show is suitable for children aged 5 years and over. 

Tickets are available online from TicketSource or from Congleton Tourist Information Centre, 01260 270350 This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe) All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI Europe.
