It is the final weekend of October, and just before Halloween, so let's preview what you can et up to in Congleton this weekend.

Footlose Finale

Friday and Saturday sees the final two performances of Footlose in Congleton.

Set in the 1980s and based on the classic movie starring Kevin Bacon, head to the Daneside Theatre on either day for a 7:30pm start.

The all-local cast is also celebrating the 90th anniversary of Congleton Musical Theatre. More info here.

Tickets cost just £9.50, but you can make a small donation to the volunteer-led society.

Seasonal Trail

From 9am to 4pm on any day this weekend, you can take part in a Halloween Trail.

The family fun has spooky visitors at the Brereton Heath Nature Reserve.

Pick up a souvenir map from Congleton Visitor Centre on High Street and get stuck in this great family fun.

Why not pop over for a Halloween-themed milkshake at The Little Cow Shed on Dale Farm across the road when you are done?

Makers Market

Same time, same place, but with new stock!

Why not do your Christmas shopping early as many of the Makers Market stalls begin to shake-up their wares.

Congleton Real Ale Ramblers

A new group for lovers of walking and beer has been formed, with their inaugural walk this weekend.

The Saturday morning stroll will be hosted by Congleton Real Ale Ramblers Group.

Meeting at the Congleton bandstand at 11am, the five-and-a-half mile walk promises canal views, and two pit stops at The Queens Head on Park Lane and The Beartown Tap on Willow Street.

The new social group welcomes dog walkers as well.
