  1. Park Fireworks and Gig

If you're a keen Congleton Nub News reader, or just a lover of all things Congleton, you will know that fireworks are back in Congleton Park this year. But a Congleton pub is turning November 6 into a night with more loud noise - as a Cheshire rock band will be performing after the display.

The Beartown Tap on 18 Willow Street is asking you to wrap up warm and come outdoors to see the display without the crowds and a pint in your hand.

The main display is at 7:30 and visible from the beer garden. An outdoor bar and serving up a whole host of hot autumnal drinks will be on offer. Live music will start at 8:30 from Macclesfield indie band Glass Ankle. Children are welcome to attend this event until 8pm.

  1. Quiz Night

Market Street Cafe Bear Grills care are hosting their first ever quiz night.

Grab your friends and head down to Market Street's Bear Grills Cafe for a great night of entertainment.

The Congleton eatery which in recent times has gained an alcohol licence, has begun to host an array of events.

For their inaugural quiz night, it is a 7:30pm start, at Bear Grills Cafe.

  1. Eaton Bank Park Run

Congleton school Eaton Bank School Academy are hosting a weekend run through Astbury Mere Country Park.

Parents and students of the Jackson Road school are invited teachers and staff on Saturday 6th November at 9am.

Students can get more information about the Parkrun from Mr Margolan.

  1. Free Birth Support Group

Bridge Street vegan eatery WILD & WILD always host events, but none are quite like this.

Taking an almost seminar-like approach, Sunday's Free Birth Support Group will teach Congleton families the joy of a natural birth.

Parents or could-be parents can consider the idea of giving birth without hospital assistance.

It'll last from 3pm-5pm, before their kitchen shuts for the day. Please get there early to ensure you get a seat.

The Congleton cafe will of course be open, and you can RSVP here.
