Congleton's new soft play area is almost ready to open.

The Play Hut soon open its doors for the first time at Eaton Bank Trading Estate on Monday, March 9.

It is the latest business venture of couple Robyn Hope and Ryan Furinval, who wanted to create a space that is just as enjoyable for parents as it is for children.

Asked what gave her the idea, 30-year-old Robyn said: "Honestly - being a mum of three.

"I've spent years visiting soft plays and cafés and always felt there was a gap for something calmer, cleaner and more design led.

"Somewhere children could play freely and safely, but where parents also genuinely enjoy spending time.

"That's where the concept came from - a Scandinavian-inspired soft play with a high-quality café.

"A space that feels beautiful, welcoming and relaxed rather than loud and overwhelming."

Whilst new to hospitality, Ryan and Robyn do have plenty of local business experience, having opened The Tanning Hut in Congleton town centre three years ago.

Ryan left his full-time job in October to focus completely on The Play Hut, working closely with an experienced soft play supplier throughout the design and planning process to ensure the equipment, layout and safety standards meet the highest of expectations.

The business has also been registered as a member of the Association of Indoor Play.

Robyn said: "We haven't rushed into this.

"It's been months of planning, conversations, research and preparation to make sure we get it right from day one."

Once open, visitors can expect a 'premium' soft play structure divided into age-appropriate zones, with a dedicated baby and toddler area.

There will also be a small sports zone, baby changing and disabled facilities and a a multi-function zone for parties, workshops and baby classes.

Meanwhile, the cafe will serve up specialty coffee from local roasters and freshly prepared food including bagels, sandwiches and healthy children's options.

The Play Hut will open for business on Monday, March 9, and bookings can be made now.

"We're very close, final finishing touches are happening now," Robyn said.

"We are incredibly excited and proud.

"This has been a huge project for us as a local family. We've worked long days and nights around our three children to bring this vision to life.

"It's not a big chain or corporate-backed business, it's something we've built from the ground up with a lot of heart behind it.

"We truly believe Congleton deserves a space like this, and we can't wait to welcome families through the doors."
