The 2nd Congleton Guides will be 100 years old this year and members are appealing for information and photographs on its history.

They particularly need materials from between 1938 and 1965.

During this time, the unit met at the rear of "Holmfield" on Chapel Street, then the county infant school on New Street (now part of Daven School) and St Stephen's Church Hall which was on Spragg Street.

Anyone with information can contact Dorothy Dentith, leader of 2nd Congleton Guides on 01260 272637.
