The opening date of Orso Lounge has been confirmed.

Loungers, the West Country-based café and bar group, is gearing up to open its latest venue, on Bridge Street in Congleton.

Named after the Italian word for bear, Orso Lounge will welcome customers from Wednesday, April 16.

John English, head of community at Loungers, said: "We can't wait to welcome people through the doors of Orso Lounge in April. 

"We hope our family friendly environment and top-notch food and drink offering will prove popular with local residents."

He added: "We're passionate about integrating genuinely into the communities we serve so we're looking forward to meeting everyone and to playing our part at the heart of Congleton's food and drink scene. 

"Anyone looking for a space to host events or groups should pop in once we are open, we'd love to hear from them and see what we can do to help."

The Loungers build and design team has transformed the former Boots store on Bridge Street in their unmistakable and unique style. 

A 'home from home', Orso Lounge will cater to all tastes with a varied all-day menu, including gluten-free and vegan menus.

There is also particular attention paid to families, with a selection of games, books, colouring pencils, and pads on offer. 

There is also a special menu, high chairs and baby-changing facilities available for 'Little Loungers'.

Orso Lounge will also serve as a community space, hosting everything from business networking and book clubs to parent and baby meets and life drawing classes.

It will create around 30 jobs for the local community,

There are currently eight vacancies listed on the company's website, including chef, front of house, bar and manager roles.
