Officers were "disappointed" to discover that a boarded up disused nursery in Congleton has been vandalised.

Whilst out on patrol PCSO Hooper and PCSO Heath found that despite the entrances being boarded up, people had been accessing the former nursery site on Newcastle Road, Congleton.

The PCSOs highlighted that a lot of the windows have been smashed and graffiti has been sprayed on the walls.

A Congleton Police spokesperson said: "Disused buildings like this can be very dangerous and we will be continuing to patrol the area.

"The local Cheshire East Coordinator has been made aware as well."
