A spokesperson for United Utilities told Nub News: "We're really sorry for the disruption caused by our work to repair a collapsed sewer on Padgbury Lane in Congleton.

"This is a complicated repair which has also been impacted by the recent heavy rainfall. We are working as quickly as we can to get everything back to normal again."
