Congleton town's very own eco icon bear may not be in hibernation right now, but he is in isolation.

However, with the magic and wealth of modern technology we have at our disposal, you can't keep a good bear down.

Cong Bear will be sending out video birthday messages and friendly waves on request to both children and residents who need their spirits lifting whilst we are in lockdown.

Check out Cong Bear's Facebook page and the Congleton News and Views group to send your requests in.

The videos will then be uploaded to the bear's Facebook page and to the Congleton News and Views group. So please only request if you're happy for us to publish your videos into the public group.

However, only first names will be used and ages, but no exact addresses will be mentioned. i.e. street names or numbers.
