Three men arrested for fighting in Congleton town centre released under investigation

Three men who were arrested on Friday night for fighting in Congleton town centre have been released under investigation.

At around 7.30pm on Friday (14 August) officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Swan Bank, Congleton.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Officers attended the scene and found there had been a dispute involving a number of men.

"Three men, aged 35, 25 and 21, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray.

"The trio, who are all from the Congleton area, have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

"Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML780485."
