'Third Age' dancers take part in 12 hour dance-a-thon for Children in Need
Today, Wednesday 15 November, a group of members of the u3a are taking part in a 12 Hour Dance-a-thon for Children in Need.
u3a is a UK-wide movement of 1000+ charities that create the opportunity for members to come together to share skills and learn for fun.
The group has 430,000+ members, and a group of those members from Congleton, as well and Sandbach, have been dancing hard since 8am all in the name of charity.
The event has seen a group of Third Age Contemporary Dancers shimmying and shaking all day at Mossley Village Hall, and won't end until 8pm this evening - so there is still time to catch the fun!
The group is aiming to raise £2514, which is the total age of the main dancers taking part!
Come and support the Third Age Contemporary Dancers at Mossley Village Hall, Leek Road, Congleton, CW12 3LJ
Entry is free and all funds raised will be going to Children in Need, a national charity supporting vulnerable children across the country and world.
This week marks the BBC's annual telethon in an effort to raise money for Children in Need. All donations go to the charity that helps improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the UK.
