A Cong Bear Christmas is the first ever exclusive specially written pantomime to air on an FM community radio station.

Not only is it a specially written panto for radio, but A Cong Bear Christmas has another claim to fame as it makes stars of a whole family, who are all taking part in this audio extravaganza.

The Jackson family, consisting of mum Mandy Jackson, dad Robin Jackson and two daughters, Phoebe and Isobel Jackson, are all set to entertain you over the Christmas period when they take on the roles of various characters within this unique portrayal of classic pantomimes, but with a difference as this panto merges firm favourites together to make one unique unforgettable experience you will not want to miss.

Black Sheep theatre was formed this year with a chance encounter with Cong Bear co-creators, Stuart and Sharon Neild when they bumped into Howard Ball, John Topham and Cherryll Topham at The Old Saw Mill in Congleton and from that day, elaborate plans were put in place to bring quality theatre and audio entertainment be in on stage or radio or other formats to the people of East Cheshire and further afield.

The pantomime, written by Stuart Neild with added material by Howard Ball will be the first of a series of Cong Bear plays for all ages and is the debut of Black Sheep Theatre.

To listen to the play, tune in to Canalside Radio 102.8 FM on the 12th December 2020 at 5:30pm, again on Christmas Eve at 7:30pm, and New Year's Day at 5:30pm.
