Congleton: The Bonfire and Fireworks in the park are back!

Congleton's popular Bonfire and Firework display is back on this year!

The event will take place in Congleton Park on Saturday, November 6th.

The Bonfire and Firework displays attract support from thousands of local people.

The event had to be cancelled last year, due to the pandemic.

Rotary-Congleton, organisers for over 30 years, say that public displays are much safer and feature bigger and better commercial fireworks than those available for individual parties held in gardens.

On 6th November, the gates to the park will open at 5pm. As well as the fireworks, attractions will include fairground rides, stalls and refreshments.

At 6pm a torchlight procession through the park will herald the start of the evening when the bonfire will be lit.

As in previous years, there will be a display for families and young children, with fireworks chosen to provide fewer loud bangs. This will take place at 6.30pm.

After the children's show, there will be a short interlude until 7.30pm, when the main display takes place.

This allows time to enjoy the fun of the numerous fairground rides, sideshows and the refreshment stalls.

The main display will last at least 20 minutes and will feature spectacular aerial fireworks.

Tickets purchased on the night are £8 for adults and £6 for children.

Advance Tickets can be purchased from now until the event at the Congleton Information Centre at the Town Hall.

The price is £6 per adult and £4 for children over 5 and under 12. Under 5's are free.

After expenses, all the money raised from the event is used by Rotary-Congleton to support its work in the local community.

Star Fireworks have provided the Fireworks at the event for many years. The company works with many high-profile clients throughout the UK and is a trusted supplier.

All their professional display crews are trained to the BPA (British Pyrotechnists Association) accreditation and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in explosives and health and safety management.

Star Fireworks is the current holder of the National Firework Championship "Best of the Best" winners title.
