Suspected burglar from Congleton appears in court

A suspected burglar has appeared in court.

Billy Grocott was arrested by police in Congleton following an incident at around 10.56pm on Monday (May 12).

The 20-year-old, of no fixed address but of Congleton, has since been charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

He was also charged with assaulting a person, causing actual bodily harm.

Grocott appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday (May 14), where he was remanded in custody.
