Supermarket chain submits premises licence to alter shop layout in Congleton

A German budget supermarket chain has submitted premises licence applications to alter its shop layout in Congleton, as well as other stores across Cheshire.

On Monday 26 February, Aldi submitted a premises licence application for its West Heath Shopping Centre store.

Aldi seeks permission to amend the current approved layout of the shop, with no change to licensable activities.

The supermarket has also submitted an application to change its Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach and Knutsford stores.

The premises license applications read: "Notice is hereby given Aldi Stores Limited has applied to Cheshire East Council on 26 February for a minor variation to a premises licence for Aldi, West Heath Shopping Centre, Holmes Chapel Road, West Heath, Congleton.

"The proposed variation is to amend the current approved plan of the premises, with no change to the licensable activities."

Representations to Aldi's applications shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Monday 11 March.
