A busy summer lies ahead for Congleton's new padel court facility.

GSM Padel has announced the launch of a Summer Holiday Kids Club.

Combine this with a range of discounts and coaching sessions for all ages, not to mention their outdoor beer garden, means there really has never been a better time to give padel a go.

Owner Jack Whiston-Rowe said: "This is a good opportunity to try something new!

"It's a low-impact sport with a really friendly environment and it's a great way of burning calories! In a 60-minute game you might do around 5,000 steps but you won't come off knackered like you do after a run.

"A lot of people can be nervous about trying a new sport but padel is really easy to get into. It can be played at all levels!"

Summer Holiday Kids Club

Just in time for the start of the school holidays, GSM is launching a Summer Holiday Kids Club.

Starting July 21, this will involve weekly coached sessions for children aged five to 16.

Jack said: "As a parent myself, I'm always trying to think of ways to keep kids busy during the week in the summer holidays.

"If you want to take the kids out three or four times a week, you're going to blow a few hundred quid!

"So I just thought to myself, what can we offer at GSM Padel?

"These sessions give kids a chance to get out and play some sport, rather than sitting at home in front of the TV."

There will be two sessions a week for children aged nine to 16, taking place at 1pm on Tuesdays and 10am on Thursdays, with 12 spots available,

There will also be a session at 2pm every Tuesday for children aged five to eight, with eight spaces available.

Come for the padel, stay for the experience

At GSM Padel, it isn't all about the sports.

The centre now boasts its own café bar and beer garden, serving up prosecco, barista-quality iced coffee, matcha, draught beer and more.

Jack said: "It's a lovely area for the whole family to come together and socialise.

"The kids can go on the court with their friends while the parents sit back and enjoy a drink!"
