Friday (08/05)
The War of the Worlds

Make the short trip over to Jodrell Bank on Friday for a solo performance from storyteller Gav Cross.
Described as 'an audiobook come to life', Gav will be reimaging the iconic sci-fi story written by H.G. Wells.
The event listing reads: "Delivered in the intimate style of a Victorian parlour reading at Jodrell Bank – home of leading space research – this abridged performance thrusts audiences into the terror and urgency of a world in chaos, consumed by the unstoppable force of a Martian invasion."
More details can be found here.
Monday (11/05)
Congleton Bear Hunt

Congleton Bear Hunt is a new addition to 'Mike's Monday Miscellany' monthly series of illustrated presentations.
Mike Tingle will take you on a virtual walk around the town, to discover numerous representations of bears of all sizes - some more friendly-looking than others.
He will also reveal some of the fibreglass bears remaining from the 2011 Bearmania Festival, and the significance of Bosley Bear.
