Congleton firefighters extinguished a fire involving a skip in a car park in Somerford overnight.

At 2.10am (1st April) firefighters received a report of a fire on Dalebrook Road which one fire engine attended.

The crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in the open, firefighters then damped down the skip to make it safe.

They were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
