Police officers have visited a scene where a male was disturbed looking in some stables in the North Rode area last night (Monday).

This morning (Tuesday), Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team officers searched the neighbouring fields, the route taken by the male and the area where the vehicle used had been parked.

A Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team spokesperson said: "We've also been linking in with our Derbyshire and Staffordshire Police colleagues as we all look to target those who are involved in this type of crime.

"Now would be a great time to check your security. Make sure you do all you can to frustrate criminals and stop them being able to take your property. Trail cameras or CCTV, additional lights and tamper proof locks.

"If you have any information or saw anything suspicious late evening yesterday (Monday), call 101."
