A popular cocktail bar in Congleton has reopened its doors after staff members' coronavirus test results came back negative.

Rumba, in Swan Bank, Congleton, announced yesterday (Monday) that they would be closed for the rest of the day after a customer who visited the premises on Saturday night tested positive for Covid-19.

The bar stated that they hadn't yet been contacted by NHS test and trace, but made the decision to protect the staff who were on shift and clean the venue.

The team posted on their Facebook page today (Tuesday): "Following our temporary closure yesterday due to a customer confirming a positive Covid-19 test result, we can confirm that our staff on shift have been tested at the Bet 365 Stadium yesterday and the tests returned negative.

"Rumba has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, and we are back open today from noon.

"Eat Out to Help Out is available across our fantastic food and soft drinks menu - book online now to avoid disappointment.

"Please observe our house rules regarding social distancing, and if you have symptoms or are awaiting test results please do not visit the venue. Let's get ready to Rumba!"

Nub News reported yesterday that the Bulls Head reopened following a deep clean.
