A Congleton pub will reopen its doors today after carrying out a deep clean after a customer who visited the pub tested positive for coronavirus.

The Bulls Head, on Mill Street, Congleton, closed last night (Sunday) following a confirmed positive Covid-19 case from Saturday evening.

In a Facebook statement, the Bulls Head team said: "We will reopen today after a deep clean. We have followed government advice after a customer informed us they have tested positive for coronavirus.

"We have full measures in place to protect the safety of staff and customers. Our staff serve behind protective screens and pub staff and customers sanitise regularly."

The public house will be open from 2pm.
