A quirky Nantwich bar and bistro will be opening a new store in Congleton later this year.

Branching out, the team behind Bench Bistro Bar will soon be opening their second store.

Bench Bistro Bar first opened in 2018 in Nantwich and, having been an incredibly popular spot with locals, has announced that it will be opening in the former home of The Young Pretender.

The quirky concept bar sells a variety of foods, afternoon teas, cocktails and more - the quirk? Food is served up on mini benches, promising a dining experience like no other in the local area.

Whether it's an Afternoon Tea bench, Pic n Mix bench or a Porn Star Martini bench this quirky concept allows users to create their own 'Bench' experience with many different variations to cater for all tastes.

Now, the team are moving into a venue that has been closed since 2022, injecting new life into 30-34 Lawton Street.

Richard and Verity, Owners, said: "We are thrilled to be opening another Bench Bistro Bar in Congleton, it's something we have been wanting to do for a couple of years."

The pair took to social media to share the news, which was celebrated by local people: "We are so thrilled to finally announce that we are opening our second Bench Bistro Bar. It will be in Congleton and is due to open this spring. Keep your eyes peeled for all updates."

The venue should be opening for the end of April, so keep your eyes on Congleton Nub News for more updates about the highly-anticipated addition to Congleton town.
