A missing pensioner was last seen getting on a bus to Congleton.

Cheshire Police are appealing for help from the public as they search for 80-year-old John Chapman.

The Kettering resident was last seen at around 9.13am on Thursday (June 26), leaving Leighton Hospital in Crewe.

It is believed John left the hospital and boarded a number 42 D&G bus, which travels to Congleton.

He is described as having long grey hair and beard and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a navy blue/black jacket and trousers and blue shirt.

Inspector Robert McCubbin said: "We have been conducting enquiries to locate John since he was reported missing and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"We would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him since he went missing to get in touch with us.

"The same goes for anyone who has any information on John's whereabouts or any CCTV, video doorbell or dashcam footage of her since he was last seen."

You can report information to Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or by calling 101, quoting IML-2119661.
