Police name man accused of attempting to rob taxi driver

Police have named the man accused of attempting to rob a taxi driver.
Paul Cordingley, 37, of Granville Road, Chester, was arrested on Sunday (June 22).
He has since been charged with attempted robbery.
The charge relates to reports of an attempted robbery of a taxi driver on Buxton Road in Congleton.
This incident was reported to police at 4.01am on Sunday.
Cordingley has been remanded in custody until a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Monday (July 21).
