Police name duo accused of flooding Congleton with illegal drugs

Two suspected drug dealers have been named by police.

Robert Machin, 49, and Sophie Brown, 22, were both arrested by the Op Apollo team on Thursday, December 11, as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of illegal drugs.

Machin, of Albany Mill on Canal Street, Congleton, has since been charged with one count of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (crack cocaine), four counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

Meanwhile, Brown, of the Parklands in Congleton, has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (crack cocaine), four counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

The pair have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, December 12.
