Police name Congleton man accused of threatening to 'burn down' woman's property

A Congleton man accused of breaching a restraining order has been named by police.

Bradley Vernon, named as Bradley Fleming in court records, was arrested in the Lower Withington area on Sunday, October 26.

The 28-year-old has since been charged with five counts of breaching a restraining order.

He also faces two counts of threat to destroy property.

According to the court register, Vernon is alleged to have made threats on two different dates in October.

On both occasions, he reportedly told the victim he would 'burn down her mother's property'.

Vernon, of Chatsworth Drive in Congleton, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 30, where he was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on Thursday, November 20.
