Police issue warning after sellers claim to be offering Covid-19 vaccine to Congleton households

Police officers have issued a warning after receiving reports of people knocking on doors in Congleton claiming to be from the NHS and selling the Covid-19 vaccine.

Officers reminded residents that NHS staff would have identification and advised them to ask for ID before letting anyone into their home.

A Congleton Police spokesperson said: "We have had reports of people knocking on doors claiming to be from the NHS and offering the COVID vaccine to residents.

"NHS staff will have ID, so ask for ID before letting anyone into your home."
