Police are searching for a suspected thief.

Paul McCue is wanted by police for a theft at Co-op on Manchester Road in Congleton.

The store only opened earlier this year.

McCue, 43, is described as being six foot tall, medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He has links to Congleton as well as Stoke-on-Trent.

PC James Rowley said: "I'd urge anyone who sees McCue or knows of his whereabouts to contact us. I'd also appeal directly to McCue to hand himself in.

"We are making numerous enquiries to locate McCue and will continue doing so as part of our ongoing commitment to investigating retail crime and keeping shop staff and customers safe."
