Pair of big name brands recognised for efforts in being as accessible as possible

Two big names on Congleton's high street have been praised for their efforts to be more accessible.
Congleton Town Council has awarded Disability Welcome status to Max Spielmann and Holland & Barrett.
The two Bridge Street businesses were recognised for having step-free access, plenty of space, a quiet, calm environment, and other features that mean shoppers with access needs find them easy to do business with.
The awards were presented by Dr Deborah Lawson who chairs the council's Equal Access Advisory Group, together with chair of the council's Community Committee, councillor Kay Wesley.
Dr Lawson said: "Congratulations to Holland & Barrett and Max Spielmann for their commitment to being inclusive and welcoming businesses.
"Their features, such as step-free access, space to manoeuvre, clutter-free layouts, and staff training, all make a real difference to disabled customers.
"It's great to see Congleton businesses leading the way."
Robin Hughes, manager at Holland & Barrett, added: "We are thrilled to get Disability Welcome status.
"We pride ourselves on making our shop and service as accessible as possible and will continue to strive to improve where we can and demonstrate that everyone is welcome here."

The purpose of Disability Welcome Scheme is to encourage businesses to make the adjustments needed to help disabled people to shop and visit local pubs and cafés.
Managers complete a checklist to ensure people with different needs and characteristics can fully access the business and its products or services.
Councillor Wesley said: "It is good to see more businesses are taking part in the Disability Welcome Scheme. Local people have been enthusiastic about the scheme, which is a win-win for businesses and customers alike. I hope everyone serving the public in Congleton will get on board with this.
"We plan to publish a Disability Guide to Congleton, and any organisation that joins the Disability Welcome Scheme will be featured in it, which we hope will help them to attract more customers."
Any business with a shop front is invited to complete the checklist and apply for 'Disability Welcome' status.
If businesses can tick off enough items on the list, they will be awarded a 'Disability Welcome' window sticker and certificate and be included in the Disability Guide to Congleton.
The list can be picked up as a leaflet at the Information Centre in the Town Hall and can be downloaded from the Town Council's website.
