The NHS has vaccinated approximately 1200 local people including some front line clinical and non-clinical staff at the Congleton Town Hall across Friday and Saturday.

The next vaccination days at the town hall are Thursday 14th and Friday 15th January.

Those being invited for an appointment will be contacted by letter or text via the GP surgery and asked to make an appointment through the allocated call centre.

Congleton Town Council reaffirmed that there is no charge for the vaccination and no residents will be asked to pay anything at the town hall or in advance.

A spokesperson for Congleton Town Council said: "This is an NHS based national vaccination being rolled out using set criteria.

"We look forward to another successful couple of days next week and as more vaccinations become available the number of vaccination days at the town hall will increase."
