Opening date of Congleton's new beauty, health and wellness destination confirmed

The opening date of Congleton's new beauty, health and wellness destination has been confirmed.
The Retreat is set to open on Mill Street early next year, located right next door to Congleton Market Quarter.
It represents the next phase of the town's ongoing regeneration, transforming a previously underused retail space into a business community for the region's growing wellness sector.
Amy Sadler, marketing lead for The Retreat, said: "The Retreat is a huge step forward for Congleton - it's about giving local businesses the space to shine and making wellness more accessible to everyone.
"As a working mum, the idea of being able to fit everything from a haircut to a massage into one stop is brilliant!"
The Retreat will officially open for business on February 14, 2026.
It will offer seven boutique units tailored for small beauty, health and wellness businesses such as skincare specialists, massage therapists, nail studios and holistic practitioners.
Rather than being just another row of shops, The Retreat positions itself as a 'community-led ecosystem' where businesses can connect, collaborate, and grow together.
Each of the seven businesses will become part of The Retreat Growth Programme, a unique initiative offering all-inclusive memberships, marketing support, and access to business mentoring.
The Luminous Clinic is the first business to sign up to the project.
Owner Fran Bluer said: "Joining The Retreat Growth Programme feels like the perfect next step for my business.
"It's an incredible opportunity to grow alongside other health and wellness professionals who share the same passion for helping people feel their best."
Ahead of next year's opening, a pre-launch event is being held on Tuesday, November 25.
From 5pm to 8pm, both interested businesses and the general public are invited to visit the space and meet the team behind the project.
