A historic high street pub is after new publicans to take it over.

Congleton's White Lion also known as Ye Olde White Lion currently being marketed by an Altrincham property business.

The 1600s Tudor pub, long-associated with the Manning family and Beartown Brewery, are after new tenants according to the web listing.

The webpage suggests that the new people to run the pub could expand the kitchen offering, with pizzas having come on and off the menu in more recent years.

It also suggests the turnover of the Grade II-listed pub. The leasehold rent is £48,000 per annum.
