New event sees popular dog show return to Congleton Park

A popular dog show is making a welcome return.
Congleton Park will play host to the first-ever Bark in the Park comes next weekend.
Having featured at previous summer events, such as last year's War Memorial Hospital centenary celebration, the local RSPCA branch have decided to create their own event centred around the ever-popular dog show.
A spokesperson for RSPCA Macclesfield, SE Cheshire and Buxton said: "We can't wait to celebrate with our supporters old and new at our Bark in the Park.
"And we are very excited to see all the dogs who take part in our dog show. It promises to be a lot of fun.
"Events like these are vital fundraising events for our branch and help to raise money which will be used directly to help animals in our care.
"We also want to say a big thank you to all those who have supported us; Congleton Community Projects/Friends of Congleton Park and kindly sponsored by Congleton Inclosure Trust, Congleton Town Trust, HJ Lea Oakes, Adelphi Group Ltd, Timothy A Brown and Congleton's Young Peoples Trust."

Bark in the Park takes place on Sunday (July 6) from midday to 4pm.
You can expect stalls, children's activities including circus skills and hands-on clay modelling, food and drink and even a DJ.
Admission to the event is free and there will be lots of other animal and environmental charities attending the day including Pets as Therapy, Cinnamon Trust, Cats Protection and the Cheshire BeeKeepers.
Meanwhile, RSPCA Stapeley Grange Animal Centre will be hosting a stall at the event and running a fun nature trail.
The dog show starts from 1pm and entry is £2.
