New awards launched to celebrate those making a different in the Congleton community

The search is on for outstanding local volunteers deserving recognition.
Nominations have now opened for the Congleton Town Mayor's Civic Awards.
The new schemed launched by Congleton Town Council aims to honour those who dedicate their time and energy to improving life in Congleton without financial reward.
The Mayor, councillor Kay Wesley, said: "The Civic Awards provide us with the opportunity to celebrate the incredible work being done by volunteers who often go unnoticed.
"These individuals make a real difference to our community, and I am honoured to celebrate their efforts.
"I encourage everyone to nominate someone who has made a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others in Congleton."
