A charity road cruise is being planned — if Covid-19 restrictions allow — as part of the opening of the new Congleton Link Road.

Taking place before the new road was formally opened to the public, the Bear Town Road Cruise event was originally planned for Tuesday, 6th April (the day after Easter Monday).

However, the organisers have been informed by Cheshire East to ensure the road was "safe and sound" that the cruise needs to be postponed to April 19th.

The event will start at the Fairground car park in Congleton.

Drivers will be able to register at the car park from 9am for a 10am start.

There will be a cut-off date of 31st March for entries to be made.

The application form and further details can be found on Facebook or email [email protected]

All Covid-19 guidelines will be respected at the event.
