A Congleton firm has been named as one of the North's top 150 agencies.

TMC Strategic Communications has been included in a list, compiled by Prolific North, of the top 150 creative, digital, media and PR agencies.

This is the first time the Congleton High Street-based agency has been made the list, finding itself in 35th place.

It is also the highest ranked independent agency with fewer than 40 employees.

"Achieving 35th place on our first entry into the top 150 is a significant milestone for TMC," said managing director Francesca Garnsey.

"The ranking features established national agency groups and companies employing over 700 staff, so to have ranked so highly is a clear reflection of the hard work and creativity our team delivers every day.

"Our specialism in sectors including healthcare communications and franchising has helped us carve a niche and continue to drive growth, despite a challenging market.

TMC was founded in Congleton in 2006 and has grown from a home start-up into a multi-disciplinary agency working with clients across the globe.

The business delivers full-service strategic communications spanning marketing, PR, brand and creative, campaign management and digital innovation, supporting leading international organisations across healthcare, technology, franchise and property.

Their HQ building, which stood vacant before being reimagined by founders Tim and Jan McCloud, is also home to The Space, a co-working facility used by local businesses and members of the community.
