Congleton High School is celebrating a 'strong' set of GCSE results.

Year 11 pupils at the Box Lane school collected their GCSE results on Thursday morning, August 20, with

Strong performance in English and mathematics has been complemented by impressive achievements across a wide range of creative and technical subjects.

For headteacher Heidi Thurland, the results are a testament to the commitment shown by students throughout their studies, as well as the support provided by staff, families and the wider school community.

She said: "We are absolutely delighted with another strong set of GCSE results and immensely proud of what our students have achieved. These outcomes reflect not only academic excellence but also the determination, resilience and character that our young people demonstrate every day.

"It has been wonderful to see students excel across the curriculum. We congratulate our students on the hard work that has paid off in English and maths, we are equally proud of the success seen in our creative and technical subjects, which showcase the incredible breadth of talent within our school community. Every student should feel proud of their individual achievements, while together they have achieved a fantastic set of results for the school.

"Today is a celebration of all that our students have accomplished and of the dedication shown by our staff and families in supporting them on their journey. We congratulate every student receiving their results and wish them every success in their next steps."

Many students will now continue their educational journey at Congleton High Sixth Form.

Mrs Thurland added: "We are delighted that so many of our students have chosen to continue their studies with us in our high-performing Sixth Form.

"We look forward to welcoming them back in September as they begin the next exciting stage of their education and continue to thrive as part of the Congleton High School community."
