A 'popular' cocktail bar and restaurant in Congleton has changed hands.

Life and Soul Limited have announced they have taken over the ownership and management of DV8 on Little Street.

The new owners will be familiar to many, as they already operate several venues in Cheshire including Rumba, Crazy Moose and Arriba in Congleton.

A spokesperson said: "With this experience, we are excited to bring our passion for vibrant hospitality venues back to DV8.

"Our aim is to reinvigorate DV8, whilst continuing to offer the food, cocktails and service that made DV8 a much loved and iconic part of Congleton's social scene.

"Over the coming weeks, our team will be working hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition as we step into this exciting new chapter.

"While some changes may be taking place as we settle in, our priority is to continue providing the welcoming atmosphere and quality service that DV8 was known for."

The award-winning Life and Soul, who also operate The Black Bear Lodge in Sandbach as well as venues in Macclesfield and Nantwich, have confirmed that favourites such as the DV8 chips will be here to stay.

"We are working on food and cocktail menus that include all of the iconic DV8 items from the last seventeen years," the spokesperson added.

"In the meantime, we will continue to be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, open Wednesday to Sunday on a reduced menu, just until we have settled in."
