Highways chiefs issue appeal for information after road signs damaged in Congleton

Highways officials hope to "reclaim" their costs after road signs were damaged in Congleton.

Cheshire East Highways revealed the signs at the junction of Rood Lane and Gianstwood Lane, Congleton, have been damaged.

It remains unclear whether the signs have been vandalised or hit by a vehicle.

A Cheshire East Highways spokesperson said: "Signs have been recently damaged at the junction of Rood Lane and Giantswood lane, Congleton.

"If you witnessed the damage caused or have any info, please call us on 0300 123 5020 to help us reclaim these costs."
