Firefighters help release casualty following two-vehicle collision in Gawsworth

Firefighters helped to release a casualty following a two-vehicle collision in Gawsworth earlier today (Thursday).

Shortly before 1pm firefighters from Macclesfield were dispatched to reports of a collision on Congleton Road, Gawsworth.

On arrival they found the incident involved two vehicles.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters helped to release a casualty from one of the vehicles and they were passed to the care of paramedics.

"The crew also made the vehicles safe and left the scene after around 20 minutes."
