Firefighters extinguish unattended bonfire in Congleton at lunchtime

An unattended bonfire was put out by firefighters in Congleton this lunchtime.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Giantswood Lane, Congleton, shortly after 12.30pm and stayed at the scene for around 30 minutes.

One fire engine attended, and firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the bonfire.
